When Ken’s hot water turned cold in the middle of his shower on a cold winter’s day, Plumber Burwood were over in a jiffy to warm things up!
As a born and bred Northern Queensland boy, Ken was not fond of cold winter days. He’d take a 40 degree day over a 14 degree day any time. The lack of central heating in his home didn’t help on a cold day like today, but at least he could rely on his hot shower to warm the soul. Or could he? Ken was rather shocked when a few minutes into his shower, his hot water turned cold. The hot water tap was on full, so there was clearly a plumbing issue at play here. Feeling cold and miserable, Ken quickly jumped out of the shower, wrapped himself in a thick towel and stood in front of the portable heater, wondering what to do. It was already 6pm on a Sunday night. He would have to wait until the morning to call a plumber and rug up in the meantime.
At 9am on the dot the next morning, Ken called his local plumbing company, Plumber Burwood who his mate Greg he was whinging to last night recommended. He assured Ken they were professionals who did a great job. When he called and explained the situation, he was told that he could have called Plumber Burwood right after the issue occurred as they operated 24/7. He wish he had have known, but would remember that in the future! He was also told a plumber would be over in a short time.
Later that morning, a plumber from Plumber Burwood arrive at Ken’s doorstep. He was cheerful and pleasant to interact with. He asked Ken where the hot water heater was and when he looked at it, noticed it had sprung a leak – the reason for the inconsistent water temperature. He also saw that it was rather old. The plumber recommended that Ken invest in an updated model, if he could afford it. Ken, needing his hot showers, especially at this time of year told him that was fine and the plumber discussed options with Ken. He also ended up sourcing the heater and installing it for him later that day. Boy, did Ken enjoy his piping hot shower that evening!
